Participation in Disaster Psychosocial Support Group Teams

Dear students;
As Ibn Haldun University Psychotherapy Application and Research Center (IPAM), we plan to be included in the accreditation process carried out by the Ministry of Family Social Policies to provide adequate psychosocial support in disasters and emergencies.
In this context, you can also be included in the Disaster Psychosocial Support Group teams if you meet the below conditions. The criteria sought for the team are as follows:
To have a bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Services, Child Development, Psychological Counselling and Guidance, Sociology departments,
To be primarily in graduate education,
To have individual and group work skills,
Preferably having three disaster experiences,
Being a student of Ibn Haldun University.
If the accreditation process of the team formed by Ibn Haldun University is approved, the expectations from our team are as follows:
Providing training and academic support to the Ministry's psychosocial support teams for all segments of society,
Contributing to the standardization of psychosocial support training,
Participating in the plan preparation process in cooperation with provincial and district Social Service Centers,
To review the AFAD Provincial Disaster Response Plan Guide and present deficiencies and suggestions,
To create and develop intervention plans with our psychosocial support team within our University for a possible disaster situation in Istanbul and to share these plans with the Ministry of Family Social Policies and AFAD,
Collaborate with the crisis management teams of the municipality where our University is located and create crisis management plans together.
